The race was postponed two weeks in a row – the first time because of strong northerlies and the second because of strong southerlies. Last weekend, the conditions were horrible to say the least. Swell was over 1/2m- possibly up to 1 m in places, definitely too rough for the younger swimmers. The water temp had also dropped due to the southerly during the week. Swimmers were all very cold when they got out-that’s for sure.
